According to the American Medical Association, 20 million women in the United States are suffering from some form of hair loss. Hair loss among women can result from chemotherapy, medication, menopause or alopecia
(a condition that causes hair loss in spots or all over the body). Hair loss is a difficult and emotional experience for women because they don't expect it to happen to them.
There are three potential markets of wig customers: trendy clients who use wigs and hair pieces as accessories; men, women and children suffering from hair loss due to illness; and clients with thinning hair.
